The race location has been changed. In spite of the extreme weather this winter, it was still the intention of Brazen Racing and the East Bay Regional Park District to have this long-permitted event take place at Lake Del Valle in Livermore. It has just now become apparent, however, that even if the trails are ready, the work to make the whole park ready for the public will not be done on time for Saturday's event. The park district has informed us that they have no choice, but to now cancel that permit.

Knowing that there are hundreds of people ready to run, and that the shirts, medals, bibs and all race items have been produced and are ready to go, park district staff have made great efforts to establish another location in the district where the race can be held: Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. The address for the new race start is 3800 Clark Rd in El Sobrante (at the school next to the trailhead).

Like Del Valle, this new location will offer similar climbs, plenty of green hills and amazing views.

We realize this may cause some additional travel and other issues to those registered and hope you will accept the apologies of Brazen Racing and the park district for any inconveniences caused. Your understanding and patience with this are very much appreciated.

Bringing the luck of the Irish and poking its head out just in time for Saint Patrick's Day, it's the Brazen Leprebadger! Part badger, part leprechaun, he hoards the treasures of these emerald hills! Come get your share of the treasure.

All runners will receive custom finisher medals and custom shirts (cotton and tech shirts available). More info on shirts/awards page.

Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 5 year categories (less for the younger ages).

Hikers/walkers are welcome.

Course monitors and aid stations may not yet be open for the first part of the course. Hikers are not eligible for overall or age group awards, but do receive official finish times, finisher medals, shirts, etc., exactly the same as all other runners.

All races will be professionally timed.
