A 7:00am start will be available for hikers. Hikers must carry water and be capable of following the course map on their own. Course monitors and aid stations may not yet be open for the first part of the course. Hikers are not eligible for overall or age group awards, but do receive official finish times, finisher medals, shirts, etc., exactly the same as all other runners.
The half marathon runners must reach the 3rd aid station (mile 9.36) by 11:45 am.
All participants can receive a copy of their appropriate course map (with mile markers and aid station locations noted) on race day.
The Half Marathon course will be marked with red ribbons and flour.
There will be four aid stations on the course. All will be fully stocked with water, sports drink, gels, pretzels, candy, etc. All half marathon runners should carry at least one water bottle to ensure they have access to fluids between aid stations.
Toilets will be available at approximately 2/3rds through the race. Otherwise, the race is in the wilderness and there are no toilets available on the course.
