Save Mount Diablo is teaming up with Brazen Racing again for this year's Diablo Trail Adventure. Races will include a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Family Hike.
For over 40 years Save Mount Diablo has worked tirelessly to preserve and increase the open space on Mount Diablo and its foothills. In that time, their efforts have taken us from 6,788 acres of open space to over 100,000 acres of open space on and around the mountain! A portion of all entry fees will go to Save Mount Diablo to help them continue preserving open space and trails for all of us to enjoy.
All courses are on trails. While there are some hills, this event, like all Brazen Racing runs, is very friendly to first-time trail runners and experienced runners alike. Depending on the weather, all distances may include mud and creek crossings!
Walkers/hikers are welcome in all distances.
Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 5 year categories (smaller categories for the younger ages).
Half marathon: 8:00 am
10K: 8:20 am
5K: 8:40 am
Family hike: Shuttles leave North Gate High School at 9:00 am sharp! Hikers will start at 9:30-10:00 am (hike leaders will leave with their groups as soon as they are full).
Note: The family hike will begin at Borges Ranch and end at Castle Rock. The half marathon, 10K and 5K will all begin and end at Castle Rock.
More information on the races and the family hike can be found on the course info page.
