This course gives runners a little bit of everything! Following the Dipsea Trail, you'll be treated to sweeping views, single track and fire road with a bit of pavement dabbled here and there and of course, the famous Dipsea stairs! Bring your sense of adventure and fun!
Aid stations will be stocked with water, sports drink, fruit, candy, sports gels and other snacks. There are four aid stations on the course, including the turnaround, meaning runners will visit the aid stations a total of seven times.

Muir Woods - Mile 5
Old Mill Park (Turn Around) - Mile 6.8
Muir Woods - Mile 8.6
Cardiac - Mile 10.6
Insult - Mile 12.7
While there is little chance of anyone becoming seriously lost, there is always the possibility of becoming confused as to which way you should be going -- particularly in the wooded areas where it is easier to get disoriented. For this reason we ask you to pay close attention to the course markings. All runners are responsible for knowing and following the course and taking a shortcut or skipping any part of the course is not permitted.
Marking will be done with flour, ribbons, signs and course monitors who will help at tricky intersections to make sure you are going the right way. By following these, you should have no trouble staying on course.

To be counted as an official finisher, runners must cross the finish line before 2:00 pm.

1:40pm at Insult Aid (mile 12.7)
In addition to the port-a-potties at the start/finish area, there will be port-o-potties at Cardiac, Muir Woods and Old Mill Park.
