Half Marathon, 10K and 5K races through a rugged and beautiful slice of history!
Race day registration will be available at the park starting at 6:45 am!
Located on what was once the populated part of Contra Costa County, Black Diamond Mines and Contra Loma Regional Parks offer great trail running, panoramic vistas and a chance to see what much of local area was like in centuries past.
Three distances will be available: 5K (3.27 miles), 10K (6.64 miles) and Half Marathon (13.49 miles).
Half Marathon: 8:00
All courses will have hills, the most challenging reserved for the half marathon runners! 5K and 10K will run around the lagoon on the Shore and Lake View trails. The 10K will go into Black Diamond Mines a short ways, while the half marathon will go deeper and get into some great single track in the heart of old mining operations there.
Course will be almost entirely on dirt trails.
As always, we welcome all levels of runners. Hikers/walkers too.
All finishers will receive custom finisher medals and custom shirts (cotton and tech shirts available). More info on shirts/awards page.
Age group awards will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in 5 year categories (less for the younger ages).
All races will be professionally timed.
Shirt sizes (and tech shirts) can only be guaranteed to those who sign up by 9/8, so we recommend early registration.
