How long is a 5K?<\/h3>\n

5 kilometers = 3.1 miles<\/p>\n

Where do we park?<\/h3>\n

Parking will be available at the Don Castro Recreation Area. The park will charge a $5 parking fee per vehicle. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.<\/p>\n

Can I wear headphones?<\/h3>\n

Yes, but we ask that you keep the volume down at a safe level so that you can hear other runners or instructions from event personnel. We also ask that you remove them, or, at the very least, remove one ear bud when you are coming to water stations. The important thing is paying attention for everyone’s safety and maintaining basic race etiquette with other runners.<\/p>\n

Are there bathrooms on the course?<\/h3>\n

There will be port-o-potties at the start\/finish area and public restrooms along the course.<\/p>\n

Can I register on the day of the race?<\/h3>\n

Yes! Race day registration will open at 6:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

I am a very slow runner. Am I going to be out of place?<\/h3>\n

You won’t be out of place at all. Our races are planned for participants of all abilities — including walkers\/hikers.<\/p>\n

Can I push a stroller?<\/h3>\n

Strollers are not banned, but this is a very challenging course and the trails can be rough and sometimes narrow, so strollers are not recommended.<\/p>\n

When\/where do I pick up my bib\/race packet?<\/h3>\n

Will there be somewhere to leave my warm-up clothes?<\/h3>\n

Yes, there will be a “sweat-check” area and these will be checked in and watched over by a volunteer. Bags for storing your sweats will be available if you do not bring your own. Please do not leave valuables in your sweat bags — we cannot be responsible for these items.<\/p>\n

Can my dog run with me during the race?<\/h3>\n

Unfortunately, as much as we love dogs and running with our own, not everyone is comfortable being around dogs (even if leashed) and for reasons of safety (for those with two legs and four) we ask runners not to bring their dogs on the race course.<\/p>\n

Will the race be cancelled if it rains?<\/h3>\n

The race will go on rain or shine. \u00a0The course may be modified to account for weather conditions.<\/p>\n

Do you issue refunds?<\/h3>\n

Sorry, since all proceeds go to charity there are no refunds for those who sign up but are later unable to participate.<\/p>\n
