RUN AT THE RESERVOIR!<\/h1>\n

Be it on eight legs or two, get ready to traverse the hills of Los Vaqueros Reservoir! Brazen Racing is proud to carry on the popular Los Vaqueros Tarantula Run!<\/p>\n

The Tarantula Run was first held in 2006, organized to recognize the Contra Costa Water District’s 70th anniversary and encourage visitation to the Los Vaqueros watershed. It’s held in October, since that’s the time when male tarantulas are usually roaming the watershed looking for mates. The run has plenty of excitement including the chance of tarantula sightings along the course! Add in a free Kids Spider Scramble for children 10 and under of half marathon, 10K and 5K runners and you have adventure for everyone!<\/p>\n

Walkers\/hikers and runners of all levels are welcome!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brazen Ultra Half Series Races<\/a><\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t

All half marathon runners are invited to participate in the Brazen Ultra Half Series.<\/p>\n

The series consists of our toughest half marathons. Most measure at least a little (and sometime more than just a little) longer than 13.1 miles. What really makes them “ultra”, however is the serious ascents and descents and variety of tough trails you have to run to finish them.
